Education

Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos Training

I completed these specialized trainings directly through Dolby Laboratories, a global leader in advanced audio and imaging technologies. These courses focus on immersive sound, High Dynamic Range (HDR), and premium visual workflows for film, television, and digital content creation.

Dolby Atmos Essentials covers the fundamentals of object-based audio, allowing sound to move freely in a three-dimensional space for a more immersive listening experience. The training includes creative use cases, workflows, and technical implementation.
Visual Storytelling in HDR – Essentials introduces the core principles of storytelling with HDR, using greater contrast, brighter highlights, and richer shadow detail to create more impactful visuals.
Visual Storytelling in HDR – Advanced builds on this foundation with advanced grading techniques, creative decision-making, and professional HDR workflows across multiple platforms.
Dolby Vision for Movies & Television – Essentials explains the fundamentals of Dolby Vision, including metadata, color management, and content optimization for different displays.
Dolby Vision for Movies & Television – Advanced focuses on professional mastering workflows, quality control, and delivery standards for high-end film and television productions.

These official Dolby certifications provide me with up-to-date expertise in modern audiovisual standards, helping me deliver content with the highest level of quality and viewer experience.

About Me

With a background in Electrical Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Electronics & ICT from Thomas More University College, I built a strong technical foundation in engineering, systems, and digital technology. During my studies, I completed an internship at Philips, gaining hands-on experience within the Projector Lamp department and real-world insight into technical innovation.

After graduating, I started my career at Woestijnvis on the ICT helpdesk, where I grew into broader technical and creative roles including Post-Production Supervisor, Production Technician, and media specialist. Over the years, I developed experience across ICT, software, film, and television—combining technical problem-solving with visual storytelling and production workflows.

Today, my work spans post-production, live television, studio and location shoots, technical systems, and creative development. I am involved in visual effects, color grading, software tools, user interfaces, internal applications, and production support for both local and international shoots. I also work as a Post-Production Finisher for Play Media and support productions and events through collaborations with companies such as Flanders Classics and FBO.

Alongside my in-house roles, I am active as a freelancer, supporting clients in video production, ICT consultancy, Microsoft 365 environments, networking, web development, and custom software solutions. My strength lies in bridging creativity and technology to build efficient workflows, strong visuals, and seamless user experiences.

I hold a Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Colorist Certification (2023) and have also completed training and certification in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, further expanding my expertise in premium image and audio finishing workflows.

Vision & Future Direction

Beyond my current work, I have a strong passion for themed entertainment, attraction design, and immersive experiences—where engineering, storytelling, and technology come together to create unforgettable moments. I am currently evolving my professional focus toward Creative Engineering: designing experiences that entertain, inspire, and bring joy to people through innovation.

My long-term ambition is to contribute to the theme park and attractions industry, working on rides, interactive environments, show systems, and immersive guest experiences. I am especially inspired by the creative standards of companies such as Walt Disney Imagineering, Universal Creative, Efteling and other world-class experience designers.

For me, technology is at its best when it creates emotion, wonder, and a smile on people’s faces.

"My mission is to use technology and creativity to inspire and bring magic to people’s lives."
